GOALS

This two year post – A’ Levels training course is divided into four semesters designed for multi-functional managers and responsible collaborators able to take part in the Research and Development of different Civil Engineering works. The experienced managers will then be responsible for the study and execution of civil engineering works.

Indeed the activities in this trade are varied and the managers are expected to perform numerous tasks.

In a design office, depending on the directives of engineers, they design, make sketches and plans, size, estimate, program and compute, whether for the design or construction of a building. On site, they are responsible for the managing of the works: they manage the project, the construction, etc. In test or research laboratories, they are in charge of testing and analyzing the tests.

Furthermore the students also study financial and human management, which will allow them to be in charge of the administration depending on the size and the activity of the firm employing them. It will also endow, if they ever consider setting up their own business, to manage it provided they have gathered sufficient experience.
Technical and regulation training in maintenance, renovation and management of the real estate is a big part of the IUT courses.
The training course is not extensive. We teach the requisite: students acquire work methods as much as knowledge and implementation know how more than recipes. However this training is designed and organized to meet the students’ aspiration, hence provides an appropriate course for both professional insertion and study pursuit.
